Matilde César is a visual artist from Madeira Island, Portugal, currently living in between Barcelona and her native island.
Matilde’s work is strongly influenced by the natural world. Through still and moving image, both in digital and analog formats, she explores the nuances of co-existing with nature.
Studied Photography & Imaging at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in Manhattan in 2020/2021, and finished her Photography degree in Lisbon at Universidade Lusófona in 2024.
